Submersible led lights – Submersible lights are used in a variety of applications, such as those making up the lighting system for boat trailers and underwater lighting systems for swimming pools, spas and aquariums. Most submersible lights are electric, and in most situations, electricity and water are a bad mix. Flood lights can overcome this and work perfectly when or after dipping under water.
The most advanced submersible led lights are those that produce their glow from LEDs, which usually just abbreviated LEDs. LEDs, a product of semiconductor technology, produces no heat as they glow and have a life hundreds of times longer than incandescent bulbs. Submersible led lights made by enclosing the LEDs and wiring power them completely in plastic to ensure they are completely waterproof. Their initial cost is much higher than conventional lamps but this cost can be recouped through life and lower energy requirements.

Equipment has drainage holes to eliminate any water inside the fixture immediately. If your boat trailer is equipped with one of those old-fashioned bulbs, remember to disconnect the trailer lights before backing out of the boat ramp. A better idea is to replace the old style with modern, sealed or submersible led lights.
