Sand the cabinets with medium grit sandpaper to remove any remaining paint. Folding paper in half and using the folded corner to get in between the doors and drawers or other small cracks. Change to fine sandpaper. Move the sandpaper in the same direction as the wood grain to smooth the surface of the cabinets. The wood is soft to the touch when you have finished grinding.
